The Main Foreign Embassies in the UK

The United Kingdom is undoubtedly an influential nation that every country in the world would want to have good relations with. This has led to many countries establishing embassies in the UK. Here are some of the leading foreign embassies in the UK.

Argentine Embassy

This embassy is located at 65 Brook Street, London. The embassy is open to the public from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. The embassy’s offices are closed during Argentine and British public holidays.

Chinese Embassy

This embassy was established in London in 1877 as a legation. The legation became an embassy in 1935. The Chinese embassy is situated at 49 to 51 Portland Place, London. The only way people can access the Chinese embassy offices is through an appointment. Embassy offices are closed on Chinese and British public holidays.

Embassy of the United States

Being a mighty nation by itself, it is almost impossible for the US to not have an embassy anywhere in the world, much less in the UK, which is a long-time ally. The US embassy is located at 33 Nine Elms Lane, London. The embassy is open from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

These offices may be closed during the US and British public holidays. Visit uk.usembassy.gov to learn some of the services offered at the embassy.

Embassy of Italy

It is located at 14 Three Kings Yard, London. People can only access the embassy through appointments. The embassy can be contacted by email at ambasciata.londra@esteri.it or by telephone at 020 7312 2200. Embassy offices are closed on Italian and British public holidays.

These are some of the leading foreign embassies in the UK. There are, of course, many others not listed here. Check other articles or pages on the website for more information.
